PINs are created prior to registration each semester.
Department Chairs must specify when/if PINs are to be required for a major.
PINs only prevent students from registering. If a student is new and no PIN is assigned, the student will be able to register (pending other holds preventing registration).
PINs are removed when they are in a major that does not require PINs.
