The Fall 2025 application is now open!
If you have any questions, contact your counselor.
Please note: Beginning August 1, 2024, the application fee to Augusta University will increase to $60.
An incoming freshman is any senior in high school or a student who has graduated from high school and has not attended another college since graduating.
If you graduated from high school more than five years ago, please see the Life Enrichment requirements.
Augusta University will waive the testing requirement for qualified first-year students for the upcoming Fall 2025 semester.
In the absence of test scores, we will employ a GPA threshold (a minimum high school GPA of 3.4 as calculated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions based on the Required High School Curriculum) to make admissions eligibility decisions. Incoming Freshman must still meet all other admissions requirements, which includes completing the Required High School Curriculum and providing all other requested documentation. Students below a 3.4 GPA will need to submit SAT or ACT scores meeting our minimum requirement for admission.
Students submitting SAT scores must meet the following minimums. Meeting these minimums does not guarantee admission. (SAT School Code – 5406. Students must submit either SAT or ACT scores – only one is required.)
Evidence-Based Reading and Writing – 480
Math – 440
Students submitting ACT scores must meet the following minimums. Meeting these minimums does not guarantee admission. (ACT School Code – 0836. Students must submit either SAT or ACT scores – only one is required.)
English or Reading - 17
Math – 17
Students must show satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum.
We will recalculate the GPA based solely on these 17 required courses (4 English, 4 math, 4 science, 3 social science, 2 foreign language).
Students who meet regular admissions requirements—i.e. have completed the required high school curriculum (RHSC) from an accredited high school (find your regional accrediting agency) should follow instructions for freshman admissions. This includes students who attended a public high school outside of the state of Georgia.
Students from non-accredited homeschool programs (or non-accredited high schools) may demonstrate their graduation and completion of the RHSC in an alternative way. In addition, a score at or above the average SAT or ACT score of the previous year’s fall semester first-time freshman class is required. *
Though not required, applicants are encouraged to submit any or all of the following:
*For Fall 2020, the freshman standard is 1118 on the SAT or 23 on the ACT.
Please contact your admissions counselor for additional information.
Please review our international student admission requirements.
Apply online and submit a non-refundable $60 application fee. We accept NACAC, College Board, and ACT fee waivers. If you already applied, you can log into your personalized application portal and check the status of your application.
