Emerging Biomedical Professionals (EBPs) is a peer-led group with the goal of promoting career development resources for research trainees and providing service to the Georgia Cancer Center and the community.
EBPs include all Georgia Cancer Center trainees, including postdocs, graduate and medical students, post-graduate associates, clinical fellows and residents, international students, exchange scholars, and even junior faculty.

The Pathways to Success series is an informal, interactive opportunity to learn from the career experiences of successful biomedical professionals, who share insights and advice on career navigation, work-life balance, alternate training options, and other topics of choice. Trainees’ Research in Progress (T-RIP) is a weekly seminar series where graduate students and postdocs present their ongoing research results and receive feedback from other researchers and their peers. T-RIP provides trainees with valuable speaking experiences early in their careers, in a safe, learning environment.
The EBP Writing Room is a quiet, private/semi-private space for Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Early Career Research Faculty to use on a temporary basis for manuscript preparation, grant preparation, and thesis preparation. The Writing Room (CN-2168) must be reserved in advance as outlined in the EBP Writing Room Policy. EBPs using the Writing Room must also abide by the rules set forth in the policy.
