Although understandable, it is important to overcome these feeling, because this is one of the most important examinations for your lifelong health and well-being.
Just as periodic examinations of your breasts can detect early lumps or thickening, the pelvic exam is a gynecological exam done to look for signs of cancer, infection, or abnormalities. Women should get one annually, since early detection is essential to head problems off before they become serious.

What to expect during a cervical cancer screening

When will I receive my biopsy results? The pathology report should be back within seven to ten business days. The healthcare provider will notify you when the results are available and schedule a time to discuss these results, whether in person or via telehealth, based on your preference.
