Day One

Horizons Motor Coach bus from Augusta to the Atlanta Airport. Travel day

Day Two

Students will land at Heathrow Airport by mid-morning and travel by private coach to the breathtaking Harlaxton Manor, their home for the first leg of the journey. After check-in and orientation, students will tour the historic grand manor and enjoy their first group dinner together in the stately dining hall.

Day Three

After breakfast, the group will head out for a full-day cultural excursion to Leicester. Students will experience a multicultural walking tour through the city, visit the fascinating Richard III Visitor Centre, and explore the historic Leicester Cathedral. Following a packed lunch and a full day of sightseeing, students will return to Harlaxton for dinner and downtime.

Day Four

The day begins with breakfast and a coach ride to Denby for an immersive pottery factory tour. From there, students will travel to Chatsworth House, one of England’s most iconic stately homes, where they’ll explore its beautiful interiors and gardens. After returning to Harlaxton, the evening concludes with dinner and reflection at the manor.

Day Five

Students will start their day with a visit to the Triumph Motorcycle Factory for a guided tour showcasing British engineering and craftsmanship. Afterward, they’ll have free time to explore the bustling center of Birmingham. The afternoon wraps up with a tour of Aston Villa’s football stadium, before returning to Harlaxton for dinner.

Day Six

The group will head to the historic city of Lincoln, beginning with visits to the grand Lincoln Cathedral and the medieval Lincoln Castle. Students will have some free time to explore the cobbled streets and local shops. In the afternoon, they’ll travel to Syston Park Farm for traditional afternoon tea and a relaxing countryside visit. Dinner will be served back at Harlaxton.

Day Seven

After checking out of Harlaxton, the group will travel to Grantham Train Station and board a train north to Edinburgh. Upon arrival, students will check into their hotel and walk to Calton Hill to take in sweeping views of the city skyline. The evening includes free time and a theatre show, offering a taste of Scotland’s vibrant arts scene.

Day Eight

Following breakfast, the group will visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the official Scottish residence of the King. The day continues with a stop at Duddingston Golf Club and a tour of the Scottish Parliament. Students will have free time to enjoy the city’s character and culture before turning in for the night.

Day Nine

The final full day in Edinburgh features a visit to the imposing Edinburgh Castle, followed by free time for shopping or independent exploration. In the afternoon, students will join a Harry Potter-themed walking tour and visit the National Galleries of Scotland. The evening is free to enjoy as the trip winds down.

Day Ten

After breakfast, students will check out of the hotel and head to Edinburgh Airport via coach for their return flight to the United States. Horizons Motor Coach bus from the Atlanta Airport back to Augusta.
