GREECE ACROSS THE AGES: ART, HUMANITIES & HONORS

APPLY AUGUST 19!

Earn Humanities or Studio Art credit while exploring the rich history and breathtaking landscapes of Greece. This immersive program takes you beyond the classroom to experience ancient temple ruins, medieval fortresses, Ottoman mosques, Byzantine churches, and charming rural villages, bringing the region’s layered cultural history to life.

From the vibrant streets of Athens to the legendary heights of Mount Olympus, and across the stunning landscapes of northern Greece, students will engage directly with the art, architecture, and traditions that define this cultural crossroads.

Participants can earn 3–6 credit hours in core Humanities, Studio Art, or Honors coursework. The Summer 2027 program includes a combination of on-campus instruction (before and after travel) and a two-week immersive experience abroad. Completion of both the classroom and travel components is required to receive academic credit.

*Most AU faculty-led programs are open to students from any major. Before applying, be sure to meet with your academic advisor to discuss how the program's courses will fit into your degree plan.

Program Eligibility: Open to all students.
