SAFE Stations

Shows a tall grey Emergency Medical Kiosk available on campus for public use. Has an interactive screen and alarm that activates when you have an emergency situation. We believe that a truly successful academic experience begins with a foundation of safety and personal security.

Your peace of mind is our priority, which is why we have invested in a comprehensive network of SAFE Stations strategically integrated into the fabric of our campus environment. We understand that emergencies don't wait for a convenient moment, so we have ensured that whether you are working late in a research lab, attending a morning lecture, or walking to your vehicle, professional-grade life-saving tools and immediate communication channels are always within your reach.

These stations represent more than just a collection of equipment; they are a visible promise of our dedication to every student, faculty member, and visitor. By bridging the gap between a crisis and a professional response, these resources empower our community to act decisively when seconds matter most. From advanced medical intervention kits to direct lines for law enforcement, our SAFE Stations serve as a constant, 24/7 lifeline to the protection and medical support you deserve.

Immediate Assistance: Code Blue Emergency Phones

If you ever feel unsafe or witness an emergency, look for the Code Blue Emergency Phones. These high-visibility stations provide a direct, 24/7 connection to the AU Police Department at the touch of a button. You can find these lifelines situated throughout the Forest Hills, Health Sciences, and Summerville Campuses. To see the exact location of the phone nearest to you, view it directly on our university maps.

Life-Saving Resources: SAFE Stations

Seconds count during a medical crisis. Our SAFE Stations are specialized emergency kits located in high-traffic areas on campus. Each cabinet is equipped with NARCAN for rapid overdose reversal, Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for cardiac emergencies, and Stop the Bleed kits to manage traumatic injuries. View the detailed directory of these cabinet locations to know exactly where to turn in an emergency.

Secure Learning: JagSafe Lockdown

We believe the classroom should be a sanctuary for learning. To support this, we are currently installing JagSafe Lockdown devices in classrooms throughout the university. This technology allows faculty to secure a classroom instantly with a single button press at the start of a session, ensuring students remain safe and protected throughout instruction without interruption.

Real-Time Alerts: The RAVE Guardian App

Safety is now as mobile as you are. The RAVE Guardian App is our primary tool for keeping you informed through the Jag Alerts system. By downloading the app, both students and parents can receive real-time updates on campus conditions and follow emergency management protocols as they happen. You can stay connected by downloading the app for Apple or Android devices today.

Jag Alerts

Information is your best defense. Our Jag Alert emergency mass notification system is reserved for urgent situations that require immediate action. By keeping your contact information updated, you ensure that you receive critical text, email, and phone alerts the moment a potential hazard or weather emergency is identified. When you see a Jag Alert, you can trust that it contains the vital instructions you need to stay safe.
