A Community of Care - Our Commitment to Your Student

Caring for your child’s safety and well-being is at the heart of everything we do. Augusta University is committed to helping students thrive by ensuring that they feel safe and supported. Our campuses are equipped with a robust network of safety features to that end. Augusta University has fully developed response systems and a 24/7 police department.

Your student is surrounded by layers of protection while on campus. This includes our Code Blue Emergency Phones and SAFE Stations located across all campuses, as well as residence halls with controlled entry and front-desk monitoring. Our visible police presence is complemented by campus-wide surveillance to ensure a secure environment at any hour.

We provide safe transportation options, including shuttle services for students traveling after dark. Shuttle services continue until 10:00 pm. Students may also request a police escort.

Lastly, your student has access to health and counseling services around the clock, ensuring that both their physical and mental well-being are always prioritized.

The RAVE Guardian App: Stay Informed Together

In an emergency, information is the most valuable tool. The RAVE Guardian App is the fastest way to receive alerts regarding weather emergencies, campus threats, or other urgent news. We highly encourage parents to download the app as well, allowing you to track emergency announcements in real time and stay connected to your student’s environment.

A Community-Focused Police Presence

Their goal is to foster a welcoming environment where your student can focus on their education and personal growth with total peace of mind.

Reliable Transportation and Smart Navigation

Getting around campus is simple and secure with our free university shuttle service. Every shuttle is GPS-tracked in real time via the Passio GO! app, allowing both you and your student to check locations at any moment. For those walking, we have identified designated safe routes across campus and always recommend traveling in groups whenever possible to maintain maximum awareness.
