International Applicants

If you are offered admission to an Augusta University degree program and you have officially accepted your offer, you will receive an email from International & Postdoctoral Services Office (IPSO@augusta.edu) with directions to log into AU International to complete the appropriate request forms and provide required documents.  Once your document (I-20 or DS-2019) has been issued, you can apply for a visa at the embassy or consulate in your home country.

Credential/Transcript Evaluation

An official course-by-course credential/transcript evaluation is required for all college coursework completed at colleges/universities outside the United States.  Augusta University accepts official course-by-course transcript evaluations from Providers that are current members of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

  • Only in the case of transcripts from international colleges/universities will an official course-by-course transcript evaluation be accepted in lieu of an official transcript.
  • Official transcript evaluations based on unofficial transcripts, documents or copies will not fulfill this requirement.
  • Degrees awarded from international universities and colleges must be verified as the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor's or higher degree.

Study abroad courses do not require an official course-by-course transcript evaluation if they are taken as part of a US institution study abroad program and are included on the official transcript of the US institution.
