At MCG, residents care for an extraordinarily diverse patient population at the only Level 1 Trauma Center and Pediatric Hospital in Augusta, GA. Our unique civilian-military partnership, broad clinical exposure, and progressive responsibility prepare graduates to confidently care for any patient in any emergency department.

While our clinical training is rigorous, what defines our program is our people. We are committed to creating an environment where residents are challenged, supported, and known personally. Our faculty take pride not only in teaching emergency medicine, but also in mentoring residents toward careers in academics, community practice, military medicine, administration, research, and fellowship training.
