Headed by Chief James Lyon, we oversee all of the Augusta University Police Department Divisions and foster an open working relationship not only within the Police Department, but with the Augusta University community. We are dedicated to better the safety of all students, staff, faculty and visitors while on the Augusta University campus and ensure you have an experience #LikeNoOther.
At the Augusta University Police Department, we aim to deliver the most efficient and effective services to the Augusta University community by having a talented workforce dedicated to our core values of integrity, respect, professionalism, and excellence. Professional Standards Captain Eric Smith, Patrol Operations Captain Paul Sharpton, Community Services Captain Sam Sherrill, and Support Services Captain Bryant Leverett oversee our operations.
