The Augusta Arsenal was a 19th-century fortification in Augusta, Georgia. Established in 1816 and initially completed on the Georgia bank of the Savannah River in 1819, it was moved to the former Belle Vue estate in the Summerville neighborhood of Augusta in 1827 due to health concerns after several fever epidemics.
The Army ROTC Program at Augusta University, known as the Jaguar Battalion, draws students from 9 of the 10 Colleges within the University. Our diverse group of students trains together as part of a team. The Jaguar Battalion Cadre and Staff partner with our students to help them achieve their goals and discover life-changing education here at Augusta University.
