Graduate Certificate in Public Health
Program Description
The Graduate Certificate Program in Public Health provides quality training on relevant
public health competencies to the public health workforce. This 15-credit online program
is designed for non-MPH public health professionals interested in gaining graduate
training in public health.
Students complete five 3-credit core public health courses.
Graduate Certificate in Public Health (Generic)
- MPHC 7101 – Health Management & Policy
- MPHC 8600 – Fundamental of Health Promotion
- MPHC 8700 – Introduction to Environmental Health
- STAT 7010 – Biostatistics I
- EPID 7130 – Introduction to Epidemiology
Admissions Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent)
- GPA of 2.8 out of a 4.0 scale
- Current CV or resume
- Official transcripts for all post-secondary education
- Three letters of recommendation
- Computer literacy and high-speed internet access
A completed application with all supporting materials and documentation must be submitted
by July 15 for fall admission or by November 1 for spring admission. Applications and supporting materials received after these
deadline will be deferred to the following semester. Early application and submission
of all application materials is strongly encouraged.
