Our Team

We strive to provide a treatment option that has the ability to better quality of life and improve survival for children with cancer.

Every one of our PIP team members has an important role in providing innovative pediatric cancer treatment. We have our clinic staff team members and we have our research-based team members. Both work together to provide children with cancer more treatment options.

  • Nurse Practitioner
I am the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the Program. I graduated with my Master’s Degree for Pediatric Primary Care in 2017, and have been a part of the Immunotherapy Program since March 2019. I am enjoying the transition from general pediatrics, and I love the specialized care we give to all of our patients! You will see me in clinic at every appointment you have, doing your H&P, assisting the nurses with your lab draws, doing your assessments, and assisting the physicians. I have the PIP Nursing cell-phone during business hours, so you can contact me throughout the month if your child is experiencing any problems or need help with anything back home.

  • Nurse Navigator
I am the Nurse Navigator for the program. I will probably be one of the first people you talk to, when inquiring about our trials. I work with Dr. Johnson on pre-enrollment for all PIP patients. You will also be seeing me in the clinic getting labs and accessing ports. At the end of your clinic visit, I will be setting up all appointments and helping with travel and stay throughout your enrollment.

  • Study Coordinator
I am one of the research nurse coordinators, and you will see me in the clinic each time you have an appointment. I will be collecting and dispensing your drug and drug diary, and screening you for any side effects you may have experienced since your last visit. I often carry the nurse phone so I may be the one you’re in contact with if you need to talk to our team.
