Augusta University and Wellstar signed an historic agreement on August 30, 2023, establishing the relationship between the entities and the establishment of Wellstar Medical College of Georgia Health (WMCGH). The agreement identified new expectations of information that AU would provide to WMCGH, as well as the need for WMCGH approval of all human subject research projects conducted at WMCGH or utilizing WMCGH resources or personnel, prior to initiation of their study at WMCGH. These expectations will begin after Friday September 29, 2023.
Recognizing that there will be an ongoing transition, we will plan to post all human subject research updates on this page. Forms, policies, and guidance documents will also be placed on the AU Research Tools for Researchers webpage.
