The Orientation Leader position is a prestigious leadership opportunity at Augusta
University. Orientation Leaders support the transition of new students and families
while gaining extensive leadership knowledge and experience.
Orientation Leaders prepare our new students, parents, and family members for an experience like no other by guiding them through a comprehensive transition program to connect with resources,
community, and systems of care.
As an Orientation Leader, you will have the opportunity to:
- Attend our Orientation Leader Welcome on Thursday, December 5 from 7:00-9:00 PM
- Lead and participate in all transition initiatives, including:
- Spring Preview Day, Spring 2025
- New Student/Family Orientation, Summer 2025
- Leap Week: Extended Orientation, Summer 2025
- Jags4Jags Peer Mentorship
- Take Leadership 2000 in Spring 2025, a 3 credit hour course designed to help you develop your leadership
skills
- Connect with a team of like-minded student leaders
- Receive mentorship from experienced Student Coordinators, Interns, Graduate Assistants, and Professional Staff
- Leave an impact like no other on new Jags and the Augusta University community!
Eligibility Requirements
- Must plan to be a full-time student at Augusta University from August 2024 - August
2025.
- Must be available to attend our mandatory Orientation Leader Welcome on Thursday,
December 5 from 7:00-9:00 PM (Reading Day)
- Must be available to take LDRS 2000 in Spring 2025 (T/R 5:30-6:45 PM)
- Must have a minimum of a 2.2 GPA
- Must be in good standing with their academic college and Augusta University
- Must be able to pass a background check through the Office of Human Resources at Augusta
University
