The lectures are intended to provide education to faculty who teach residents and fellows. The goal of this lecture series is to provide a shared understanding of providing GME education among the faculty of MCG. The lectures are evidence-based where possible with real world experience added when appropriate. An attempt was made to create each lecture at a level that will provide information to educators with a range of experience.
These lectures are aimed to introduce accreditation concepts that all GME faculty should be familiar with. The structure of the ACGME and an overview of the Next Accreditation System will be reviewed. The concept of competency-based evaluation and brief introductions to the Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) and the Program Evaluation Committee (PEC) are included.
