MCG Office of Faculty Affairs & Success (MCG OFAS) is an administrative function supported by the Dean’s Office to enhance the effectiveness and success of each MCG faculty member by serving faculty and the academic/clinical departments in which they reside.

Our mission is to oversee, promote, and build an intentional and integrated approach to supporting faculty needs across career stages, appointment types, and faculty roles, ensuring that all faculty have access and opportunity in their pursuit of excellence and advancement.

We were founded in July 2018 under the leadership of Dean David Hess, Dr. Vaughn McCall, Executive Vice Dean and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and Dr. Lara Stepleman, the inaugural Director for Faculty Success and current Associate Dean for Faculty Success and Inclusive Excellence.
As of September 1, 2024, The MCG Office of Faculty Affairs & Office of Faculty Success merged to become the Office of Faculty Affairs & Success.
