MCG Students in Class

Students of the LIC track experience core rotations integrated across the clerkship year. This includes 3 week “sessions”, repeated twice, of the Surgery, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, and Pediatrics clerkships (first half and second half of clerkship year) and weekly Family Medicine Continuity Clinic. Neurology and psychiatry is an integrated 6 week experience with 3 weeks each.

Students on the SW campus begin pre-clinical education on the Augusta campus and move to Albany for their Clerkship year and Enrichment year. For Clerkship year they have the option of the Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum (LIC) track or the traditional block schedule for their core 12 months.

Tradition block rotations include 3 or 6 week core rotations with elective. These student get priority for clinical rotation sites within the Southwest region.
