Enhancing the health of individuals, families, populations, and communities is the over-riding mission and priority of the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. The department provides primary care education, discovery and clinical services to advance this mission.

Dr. Thomas Garigan is an Army veteran and Family & Community Medicine faculty member. His passion for photography began with a deep appreciation for nature. His earlier years exposed him to the beauty behind the Hudson Highlands in New York and the landscapes near West Point and Cornwall.

We seek clinician educators to support its teaching, scholarship, and service programs in response to anticipated growth in undergraduate medical education and its Family and Community Medicine residency.

More than 40 volunteers participated in the event, including students, physicians, nurses and athletic trainers.
The obesity medicine expert will also oversee the delivery of health care in the Family Medicine Center.
