Positions in the Advanced Education programs are limited, and selection is competitive. Please make sure to read and follow all of the details for admission.
All of Advanced Education residency programs participate in the PASS application process.
In addition to PASS, the following programs also participate in the Match candidate selection process.
Applicants are encouraged to begin the PASS application process as soon as possible in order to submit all required PASS application materials along with the Augusta University supplemental application materials to ensure that the complete application is received by the deadline. Most of our Advanced Education programs require that applicants be graduates of dental schools accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). The Prosthodontic, and Periodontic programs currently consider applicants with foreign dental degrees.

Note to International Applicants: The AU Dental College of Georgia, Advanced Education Program only considers candidates who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents at the time the application is submitted.

Information for Graduates of International Dental Colleges/Schools
We only accept candidates who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
In order to participate in most Dental Advanced Education Programs of Augusta University, an individual must have completed a DMD/DDS program accredited by the American Dental Association (ADA) Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
Exceptions
Programs that consider graduates from Dental Schools that are not ADA accredited/International
Dental Schools include Periodontics and Prosthodontics.
Non-Native Speakers
Applicants born outside the United States and whose native language is not English
must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language, the Internet-based version of
TOEFL (IBT TOEFL). If you have attended a U.S. college, please contact the Advanced
Education Office for wavier options.
Non-CODA Accredited Program Graduates
Applicants who graduated from Non-U.S. Dental Schools must submit an official transcript evaluation from one of the National Evaluating Services with the PASS application:
