Welcome Back Bash, our highly anticipated annual event, kicks off with an electrifying pep rally in the amphitheater, where we'll introduce our AU athletic teams to the roaring student body. Following the rally, the excitement continues with a takeover of the JSAC Field and JSAC, featuring seven food trucks, outdoor games, giveaways, glowcade, music, and more.

The Campus Rec Color Fun Run is a .75-mile fun walk/run event that is all about having fun while getting covered with colorful powder. This event is more about memories made than how fast the race is finished. The event includes music, dancing, Kona Ice, slip-n-slide, and a massive color bomb!
Campus Recreation
Spend the day on the water! Join the campus recreation team on the shore of Clarks Hill Lake for this fun and engaging cookout event at the lake. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers! We also will have kayaks for your use. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Freshman Convocation is the bookend to Senior Graduation. It is the ceremony that welcomes YOU, the Class of 2028, to the Augusta University Family. You will receive your Class pin, take a class photo, receive free AU swag, and have brunch with your future professors and campus professionals.

Maxwell Theatre
The Lyceum Series presents a comedy double bill on Friday, August 23rd at the Maxwell Theatre.
Jasmine Ellis is a Stand-Up Comedian, Entertainment Journalist, and podcast host from Arlington, Texas. Jasmine tours colleges and clubs nationally and has been featured at over a dozen of the Top comedy festivals including Moontower, 10,000 Laughs, Limestone, and Black Girl Giggles. Her Debut comedy Album Trashbaby went #1 on iTunes and has been featured on the ” best comedy album by comedians you haven’t heard of ” Playlist on Spotify.
Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh is fresh off his standing ovation and four “yeses” on NBC’s America’s Got Talent in June of 2021, but he has been a touring headliner for almost a decade now. Kabir has been featured on Amazon Prime and The Family Guy on Fox. His You Tube Dry Bar Special, Stay Single, has been one of the best-reviewed comedy specials of all of time. Kabir was on Gabriel Iglesias’ Stand Up Revolution on Comedy Central as the lead off comedian on episode 1 of season 3 and was the winner of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, Big Sky Festival, and a finalist in the nationwide NBC Stand Up for Diversity showcase.

Details of the academy program, application and commitment expectations will be discussed at this information session. Pre-registration in Handshake is required to attend and you must attend the full program from 5:30-8:30pm.
