BOOK A CONSULTATION REGISTER YOUR student EVENT
We believe that student engagement can occur safely and within the current guidelines of the Center for Disease Control, State of Georgia, and The University System of Georgia.
Our ultimate goal is to provide a traditional on-campus experience that mirrors our commitment to the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff.
All in-person events, on campus and off campus, for students that are held outside of classroom instruction must be approved and/or acknowledged through Student Life and Engagement. This includes events hosted by student organizations as well as departments across the institution.
Working with Facilities Services and Classroom Services and Events we have put together a three-step guide for in-person events that we believe will provide clarity and direction for safe ways to have in-person events. All events are approved with current guidance and may be cancelled or changed based on updated guidance or new information.
Please use our updated In Person Student Event Protocol (above) to plan your events. Remember, registered student organizations must submit your event at least one week in advance so we can ensure details of our health and safety plan are included. Colleges and departments are able to submit events at a maximum of 72 hours before an event.
Need some help or tips on how to have an effective virtual or socially distanced in-person event? Book a consultation with a member of our team. We are happy to review the guidelines approved by Augusta University as well as explore creative ways to engage students. Need help filling out the registration form watch our video tutorial.
