Renew Organization

Each academic year, EVERY existing student organization is required to renew their information and status as a registered student organization. This allows the Student Life & Engagement (SLE) Office to keep up-to-date records of all the involvement opportunities for incoming students.

The renewal process (known as the Star Recognition Process) begins the first day of classes in the Spring semester. Any organization that does not complete the renewal requirements within the below timelines will be classified as deactivated and no longer be recognized as a student organization at Augusta University. They will lose access to JAG Life, EMS, SGA funding, and other privileges of recognized student organizations.

Star Recognition Process

SLE’s Star Recognition Process ensures that every registered student organization abides by the rules and regulations set forth by the university Student Code of Conduct and Student Life & Engagement. To earn a star for each requirement, students must use the following checklist.

Registration Star

Spring 2024 Deadline: January 29, 2024 by 5:00pm.

  1. Update your organization's page in JAG Life
  2. Complete the Renewal Form 2024-2025
  3. SLE will email the Advisor Agreement Form to the advisor listed on the renewal form.
  4. After both forms are submitted, the president of the organization will receive an email of completion and a reminder to attend Student Organization Training.
  5. If your president changes before the close of the academic year, fill out the New President Form.

Assessment Star (Spring Semester ONLY)

Spring 2024 Deadline: April 28, 2024 by 5:00pm

Every April, a student End-of-Year Evaluation Form will be emailed to the presidents of each registered student organization for completion. This form gives student leaders the opportunity to reflect and assess the goals created in the student organization’s yearly-plan.

Rising Star

Fall 2024 Deadline: November 26, 2024 at 5:00pm (If officers are transitioned BEFORE the end of Spring)
Spring 2024 Deadline: April 28, 2024 at 5:00pm

This form is for PRESIDENTS ONLY. This forms also provides contact information for the rising President.
