The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is a self-governing body composed of different culturally-based national and international fraternities and sororities. MGC promotes success in higher education and advances diversity, inclusion, and multicultural awareness, while catering to marginalized groups at Augusta University.
Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha, Inc. was nationally founded on September 29, 1990, by thirteen inspiring young women from four different schools in the state of New York to serve as a Latina-based sorority devoted to serving the community while fostering a sense of pride and respect for the Latina heritage.

MGC creates a foundation for fellowship between fraternities and sororities with intentionally multi-ethnic, multicultural, gender-inclusive, and/or diverse memberships and allows for their representation and voice on campus and within the CSRA.
