With a health, society and policy degree, you can do that by focusing on the policy side of health and illness and understanding the risks and health challenges facing diverse populations. The Health, Society and Policy program from Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences’ Department of Social Sciences prepares students for a variety of rewarding career pathways.

Augusta University is Georgia’s Health Sciences Center of Excellence, and with this interdisciplinary approach that promotes an environmental and cultural understanding of health, we truly offer an experience like no other.

Career Options

Graduates from the health, society and policy program can step directly into roles such as a health coach, family advocate, pastoral care or public health advisor, or they can continue into a variety of graduate and professional programs, including public health, occupational therapy and other social services.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, health educators and community health workers can expect a 16% growth between 2016 and 2026.
