Students in Augusta University’s Master of Clinical and Translational Science program will complete four semesters totaling 30 credit hours, including a required capstone project.

Experience-based Education

Outside the Classroom

The School of Public Health at Augusta University blends education with action. As a top research university in Georgia, we offer robust resources for students to engage in research and community outreach.

Our Department of Biostatistics, Data Science, and Epidemiology conducts collaborative research across various fields including cancer, dental, nursing, and regenerative medicine. Through community outreach programs and health fairs, students gain real-world experience in field research.

Fully Online

The online, asynchronous program is designed for working professionals with busy schedules, especially practicing physicians, dentists and advance practice providers.

Tailored Degree

Two different elective tracks provide students with focused learning objectives tailored to the careers they desire.

Financial Assistance

For employees of the University System of Georgia, including Augusta University, tuition may be fully covered by the Tuition Assistance Program.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, job growth for medical scientists is projected to rise much faster than average through 2031.

In 2021, the median pay for a medical scientist was $95,310 per year.

Admissions Criteria at a Glance

GPA: Overall GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale at the Baccalaureate level calculated on all undergraduate work.

Degree Requirement: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.

Transcripts: Official transcripts are required from all universities and colleges ever attended. Unofficial transcripts from US colleges and universities can be used in the admissions review process in lieu of official transcripts for this program.

Standardized Test Requirements: Submission of official GRE/MCAT/MAT exam scores are optional. 

Letters of Recommendation: Recommendations from three individuals must be submitted through the application portal.

International Students: Please review the verification process for international transcripts and the english proficiency requirement.

Early submission of all application materials is strongly advised.

All required application materials and documents must be received in order for an application to be considered complete and before an admission decision can be made. The program does not accept applications after the published application deadline, however the program will continue to accept application materials up to two weeks after the application deadline.
