The tour headed north, where we had the opportunity to spend time with MCG students at the Northwest Regional Campus, before visiting Atrium Health Floyd. We saw firsthand how strong partnerships not only improve patient care today but also prepare the next generation of physicians for tomorrow.
Next, we visited Georgia Highlands College’s Floyd campus to meet students participating in the Healthcare Explorers Camp hosted by Atrium Health Floyd, Blue Ridge AHEC and Georgia Highlands College. Seeing high school students explore careers in health care alongside Augusta University students is a powerful reminder that building Georgia’s workforce begins long before graduation. We wrapped up the day with alumni, students, and friends at the Rome Emperors baseball game for fellowship with all of our great partners.
