Financing Your Degree

We know that financing your education can feel overwhelming — but we’re here to make the process as stress-free as possible. To get started, we recommend that you explore the following options to help you pay for your degree:

  1. Complete the FAFSA Form
  2. Apply for Scholarships
  3. Explore Grants (Pell, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education)
  4. Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for USG Employees Policy: Board of Regents Policy 8.2.19 states that eligible full-time employees of the USG may be granted admittance into AU Online programs on a space available basis. Georgia constitutional amendment passed in 1976 allows Georgia residents, 62 years of age or older who meet eligibility requirements to also enroll on a space available basis. All AU Online courses strive for a maximum class size of 30. TAP/Senior applicants who meet admission standards and all program prerequisites will be placed on a wait list in chronological order of request. Two weeks before orientation ends, TAP/Senior applicants will be notified if space is available under the maximum class size limit. Once admitted, TAP/Senior students must submit all pre-orientation requirements within 48 hours or relinquish their admission to another TAP/Senior applicant. Any TAP/Senior applicant who chooses not to begin the program at time of notification will automatically restart the waitlist process until they opt out. Please refer to the TAP Website for additional information such as TAP’s official policy, registration dates, application, and eligible schools.

Our financial aid office is here to assist you every step of the way. If you need guidance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us using the contact information provided above.
