The Center for Bioethics and Health Policy is within the Institute of Public and Preventive Health at Augusta University.
We conduct novel interdisciplinary research to help promote human health and wellbeing. Our educational initiatives aim to foster the critical thinking skills and character needed by multi-professional health teams, policy makers, and citizens to navigate the complex challenges - spanning clinical care and public health - that characterize health debates in the 21st century.

The mission of the Center for Bioethics and Health Policy (CBHP) is to: conduct interdisciplinary research to address challenges that undermine health and wellbeing in Georgia and beyond; provide comprehensive ethical and policy support for clinical services; and offer educational programs to a broad spectrum of learners to equip them to work as leaders in their professional roles and local communities.
The vision of the CBHP is to cultivate a vibrant, welcoming environment that stimulates people to think critically about health challenges; and to support people to advocate for individual and community wellbeing. Foundational to our vision is the belief that it is essential to develop and sustain partnerships between healthcare professionals, policy makers, ethicists and, critically, our local communities.
Meet the leadership and members that strive to accomplish CBHP goals.
