Yvonne Turner is a distinguished leader and seasoned professional in state government and higher education administration. She currently serves as Augusta University's Executive Vice President Finance and Administration and Chief Business Officer. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to excellence, Ms. Turner plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial and operational strategies that drive the university's success.

With a solid educational foundation in finance and administration, including a bachelor’s degree in administrative management from Clayton State University, Ms. Turner has honed her skills through years of progressive leadership roles in higher education and state and local government. Her passion for combining academic rigor with practical application has been a cornerstone of her career, fostering an interdisciplinary approach to solving complex challenges in university administration.

Before assuming her role as Chief Business Officer, Ms. Turner accumulated a diverse and impressive portfolio of experience in state government and higher education administration. She served as the Deputy Director for the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget (OPB), where she successfully implemented innovative financial management practices, resulting in increased fiscal responsibility and transparency. Her career also includes significant contributions as the Director of Administration at OPB, where she spearheaded initiatives to optimize resource allocation, streamline processes, and enhance financial sustainability.

At the helm of Augusta University's business operations, Ms. Turner demonstrates exceptional leadership, guiding a diverse team of professionals to achieve excellence in financial management, budgeting, procurement, human resources, public safety, facility operations, information technology and risk mitigation. With a keen understanding of higher education's dynamic challenges, Ms. Turner formulates and executes comprehensive strategies to ensure the university's long-term sustainability and competitive advantage. Her strategic mindset and forward-thinking initiatives have contributed to the university's fiscal health and operational efficiency.
