Bio
Born in Columbia, SC and raised in North Augusta, SC. Attended public schools in North Augusta, SC and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Business Economics in 1967 and an MBA in 1968. Worked for Belk Stores, Inc., a private department store retailer, from 1968 to 1987 as Executive Vice President and Supervising Partner. Founded and managed Genin Corporation, a apparel brokerage and consulting firm, from 1987 until 2006. Joined ASU's CoBA as Assistant Professor of Management in 1996 and was granted tenure and became Associate Professor of Management in 2001. Was granted Graduate Faculty status in 2007 and promoted to full Professor in 2008.
