Teaching Interests
I have a strong commitment to science education at many levels of ability and have pursued opportunities to teach in the lab and the classroom throughout my career. I have mentored several undergraduate students in the lab, most of whom have undertaken further studies in science or medicine.
Research Interests
My long-term research vision is to establish signaling via mechanosensitive bridges as a close, physical interaction between cells that can be exploited for synthetic biology purposes.
