Department of Teaching and Leading
My teaching interests center on Special Education with a deep commitment to supporting students and educators in marginalized and under-resourced school communities. I believe that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported, and I work to prepare future teachers to approach their practice with empathy, cultural humility, and a strong sense of advocacy.
I strive to model patience, authentic relationship-building, and meaningful family–community partnerships. I believe that fostering inclusive and responsive classroom practices ensures that all students—especially those with disabilities in marginalized settings are given equitable opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive.
