Bio

Appointment Date: 2017

Dr. Sturgis is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her PhD in Cardiovascular and Renal Physiology in 2007. Following Graduate school she competed a yearlong Master Educator Training Program with Ross University’s Department of Physiology. She then completed her emergency medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2017. Dr. Sturgis joined the faculty of Augusta University’s Emergency Medicine Department in July of 2017 and in February of 2018 became the Director of Clinical Skills Program for the Medical College of Georgia where she is extensively involved in simulation training. Her research interest is in Simulation Curriculum Integration and Emergency Medicine.
