My teaching interests include epidemiologic methods, infectious disease epidemiology, grant writing, epidemiology of disease pathophysiology, and maternal & child health epidemiology. I also collaborated with other faculty to teach advanced epidemiological methods, global health concepts, and advanced infectious diseases. I teach courses in both online and in-person formats.
My research focuses on clinical and patient-centered outcomes research in the areas of cancer, infectious diseases, and intervention program evaluation. I am particularly interested in epidemiology, focusing on early detection, treatment, and disease outcomes. The primary goal of my research is to prevent disease and improve treatment outcomes across diverse populations, including resource-limited communities such as minorities and rural areas.
