Bio

Kitty Hernlen is an Associate Professor and Program Director for the Health Services program.She has been with the AU for 20 years. She was a respiratory therapist for 34 years. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Augusta University in 1991, her MBA from Brenau University in 1996 and graduated with an Ed.D. from Augusta University in 2019. Her educational interests are online education, flipped classroom management and technology in education. Her research focus is asthma and Indoor Air Quality in schools. She involved in the community, particularly with the Augusta Area Asthma Camp, where she has served as the camp director for the past eight years, and providing education about asthma to parents, teachers, and school nurses.
