Dr. Kevin L. Allen Jr.
Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine

Dr. Allen is a 2012 graduate of Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. They completed their pediatric residency training at Medical College of Georgia in 2015 and completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA in 2018. Their research focus during their fellowship involved ultrasound versus CT for acute appendicitis in children and is pending publication. Dr. Allen joined the Emergency Medicine faculty in 2018 and is involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in Special Topics. Dr. Allen currently serves as Co-Medical Director of the Child Protection Team (child abuse) at Children's Hospital of Georgia. He also serves as a co-director of the Diversity and Equality Curriculum for the EM department.
