Research Interests
1) Dry eye. We study how lipids and lipid-protein interactions in the tear film prevent excessive tear evaporation to elucidate the mechanism of dry eye.
2) Age-related macular degeneration. We investigate lipidomics, proteomics, and lipid-protein interactions in the fluid in the interphotoreceptor matrix or its surrogate to elucidate the mechanism of the disease.
