Department of Occupational Therapy
I am dedicated to mentoring students on research projects that integrate evidence-based practice with the lived experiences of diverse populations. My teaching emphasizes the critical role of occupational therapy in cancer rehabilitation and lymphedema care, with a strong focus on social determinants of health and advancing health equity.
My work focuses on improving quality of life for cancer survivors through early detection and comprehensive management of lymphedema, integrating both clinical best practices and patient-centered outcomes. I am particularly interested in how social determinants of health and complementary approaches such as yoga can enhance access, equity, and long-term survivorship care.
