Working and living at a nonprofit equine rescue has uniquely shaped my teaching interests in public administration and nonprofit management. I aim to integrate my hands-on experience with animal welfare into the curriculum, illustrating the real-world application of governance, public policy, and strategic management in the third sector. My goal is to teach future public servants and nonprofit leaders how to navigate the complex landscape of public-private partnerships, driven by a mission-focused and ethical approach
My research objective aim to investigate the intersection of organizational behavior and fiscal health within the nonprofit sector, specifically examining how strategic management practices influence long-term financial sustainability. By analyzing the relationship between governance structures and diversified revenue streams, this work seeks to provide actionable insights for leaders to balance mission-driven goals with rigorous financial accountability.
