Emily Boykin is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration in the Department of Social Sciences at Augusta University. Her research and teaching intersects issues of public administration and policy, public management, and public budgeting and finance. In her work, she examines environmental and organizational conditions that shape bureaucratic decision-making, policy failure, and government performance.
Her teaching interests are to demonstrate the utility of theory as a tool to enhance and understand complex public problems, particularly surrounding issues of public administration and policy, public management, and public budgeting and finance. Developing student professional and analytical skills is a core aim in her classroom.
