Dr. Winkelstein holds a PhD in International Relations from Georgetown University. He taught at the United States Military Academy from 2016 to 2018 and in AU's MAISS program since 2022.
Dr. Winkelstein's teaching focuses on Intelligence Policy and Practice, Cyber Operations Policy and Practice, and Security Studies.
Dr. Winkelstein's research focuses on information warfare and patterns of violence during civil wars.
