Education and Training

The Department of Endodontics completely supports the Dental College of Georgia’s mission toward the enhancement of oral health through acquisition, dissemination and use of endodontic knowledge. Our primary objective is to educate and train dental students and postgraduate students in the art and science of endodontics. This mission is addressed through four interrelated action components: education, research, patient care, and community service.

Patient Care

Supervised by a team of board-certified endodontic faculty, our endodontic residents offer the latest therapies to preserve your smile and oral health. We specialize in treating diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated conditions, often involving root canal therapy, to save the natural tooth.

WHAT IS ENDODONICS

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry concerned with the morphology, physiology and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues. Its study and practice encompass the basic clinical sciences including biology of the normal pulp, the etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions.
