Overview

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is a safe and effective treatment for severe mental illness.  Our team of ECT providers includes psychiatrists, as well as Anesthesiologists and Perioperative Nurses.  For the convenience of our patients, we offer treatment at two area hospitals: Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA and at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, SC.  On this page you will find links about how to be referred, as well as detailed information and videos about ECT.

Referral Process:

An outpatient visit with one of our ECT physicians will help determine if ECT is right for you.  All patients need to be referred by a physician through the call center at Augusta University Medical Center.
