Previously known as the "faculty meeting". 1st Friday will meet in the 3rd floor amphitheater and will be faculty and residents. 2nd Friday will meet in the 3rd floor amphitheater and will be faculty and support staff (office, PA's, etc.). 3rd and 4th Friday will be in the department offices and will be faculty only.

Will meet in the 3rd floor amphitheater. Articles for discussion will be assigned. Individual residents will be responsible for presenting and leading discussion of their assigned articles.
Grand Rounds
Lectures will be given by residents, attendings, 4th year medical students rotating on service, other AU faculty, and outside speakers. Each neurosurgery resident and each neurosurgery faculty will be responsible for one lecture per year.
Neurosurgery Conference
Will meet in the 3rd floor amphitheater. The format will be case presentations by a neurosurgery resident followed by review of the pertinent studies (presented by resident, but with input from neuroradiologist). Cases will be from AU, VA, and CMC. Cases will be chosen by involved residents to stimulate discussion and debate. They can either be pre-op or post-op (or no-op). Starting in September, the conference will include all the community neurosurgeons. There will be 2 conferences at AU and 1 conference at University. Again, a 4th conference will be for M&M.
Morbidity and Mortality Conference
Will meet in the 3rd floor amphitheater. The conference will be the 2nd Friday of the month. Cases presented will be from the previous month.
