Do I have to participate in the laptop program?

Yes, all Phase I medical students must participate in the program. The laptops will be a required and integral part of your medical education.

Can I purchase a discounted laptop through Augusta University?

If you would like to purchase a new laptop, Augusta University has partnered with Apple and Dell to offer program discounts. Visit our partner's sites to see at least two models for you to choose from.

There are many benefits to purchasing a laptop through the program.

• Program laptops have been selected to meet the requirements of the University's academic computing environment.
• Program laptops are configured to work with the campus wireless network.
• An on-campus support center will be available to assist with your new computer.

What if I already own a laptop computer?

As long as your computer meets the minimum requirements for a program laptop you do not need to purchase a new computer.
