The intern welcome dinner is held in June and is a great opportunity to get to know program leadership and fellow interns.
In December, the Department of Medicine hosts a holiday party for faculty, fellows, residents and staff. The evening includes dinner and music.
In the spring, our residents come together outside of the hospital and bond as a group. In the past, we've enjoyed potlucks, a riverboat cruise down the Augusta Canal, and most notably the ropes course at Gravatt Camp in Aiken, SC.
Every June, we host a special evening to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our intern class and third year class. The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and presentations from the faculty and chief residents.
Throughout the year, our residents take time to relax and bond together whenever they can! Camaraderie is a cornerstone of our program, and our residents enjoy spending time together outside of work when schedules allow.
