Clinical Case Conference

Our department meets bi-monthly on Mondays (Second & Fourth) for the Clinical Case Conference. During these sessions unique or challenging medical/surgical cases are presented for discussion.

Time: 7:15 to 8:15 a.m. (Virtual MS Teams until further notice)

Each session is comprised of 2 case presentations which are typically delivered by the residents of our department. Occasionally, rotating medical students will give one of the case presentations. Each presentation is to be derived from cases with which they have had close involvement. All sesssions are moderated by the faculty member who has had the closest or most relevant involvement in the given case though all are expected to join in the discussion as they have points to review.

The aim of the conference is to educate the audience on clinical pearls, best practices, quality improvement, and to imporve patient safety and outcomes.

For each session attended continuing education credits are offered.
