The Neurology Residency Program at the Medical College of Georgia and Augusta University Health System aims to shape the careers of passionate young neurologists.
Our residency is based at a quaternary referral center; and our residents are exposed to a broad educational curriculum, excellent diverse patient care opportunities, and innovative neuroscience and translational research.
Our program is a categorical four-year program. Currently, we recruit six adult neurology residents annually. We also recruit one pediatric neurology resident every other year.
Our residents rotate at three sites:
About Us
Our program fosters a culture of academic and clinical excellence in patient care with many opportunities for educational, clinical, and translational research.
Neurology Subspecialties
The Medical College of Georgia Department of Neurology serves as a referral center and therefore our residents are able to see a wide diverse range of patients.
Our Neurology Faculty
Our program is often described as being infectious because of its collegial atmosphere as many of our attending physicians have trained at our facility at some point in their careers and have returned here to practice.
We offer fellowships in vascular neurology, clinical neurophysiology, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, and neuro-interventional neurology. Sleep medicine fellowship is offered through internal medicine.
